Zoe - Colour Challenge #26 for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies. Today I'm sharing with you my sample for the Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #26

I love these colours so it was easy for me to use them I used Flora Musica stamp which I stamped using Archival inkpad in Black, I filled in the design using a liquid mask and fine paintbrush, I wasn't overly careful doing it as I was going for the more "shabby chic" style, I then blended over with a blending tool and Distress inks, splattered with water and dabbed with a dry cloth and dried it carefully with my heat tool, I stamped the music side of the stamp around the edge of the design using Rusty Hinge Distress ink, I removed the mask by rubbing with my finger, and coloured the flowers and leaves using Distress Markers and a water-brush, once it was all dry I splattered over using a paintbrush and watered down Distress ink, I inked the edges with a brown ink, added some sequins and Voila!

Here is the Colour Swatch in which to use for the challenge, I didn't make the Christmas card only the tag.

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment, I hope you have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

A Bunch of Daisies from Designs by Georgina

Good afternoon Lovelies and what a simply glorious afternoon it is too.

I'm sharing with you a Canvas using Spray inks and the 8" and 12" Bunch of Daisies stencils from Designs byGeorgina , once my inks were dry I used the smaller stencil with Gesso on just the Daisy heads, a few stamps dotted here and there and some white and black ink splatters for added interest, then using the large stencil I used Texture paste, once dry (overnight) I coloured over the paste using the fabulous Molotow Liquid Chrome markers and added some dots of coloured liquid enamel.

Thank you for visiting, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Sweet Poppy Stencil and Molotow Liquid Chrome

Good afternoon Lovelies!

Just posting a very quick post featuring the fabulous Molotow Liquid Chrome Markers on Texture paste through a Sweet Poppy Stencil!

I started with Yupo paper and alcohol inks along with blending solution, using a white texture paste through the stencil, once dry I coloured the Mechanical Dog in with the markers, wow! Really is like Liquid Chrome.

Lavinia Stamps Challenge mid-month post by Zoe

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you're enjoying some summer crafting.

I'm here with my "Mid-Month" project for the Lavinia Stamps Challenge, please click on the highlighted area to check out the Rules and regulations, there aren't many, you will also be interested to know that things have changed slightly! The challenge now starts on the 1st of each month and the last day for your entries is the 28th, the winner is now chosen by Random.org, the prize of £40 in vouchers to spend on Lavinia products still remains the same.

The theme for this month is - "No Black", here's my project.

I used Yupo paper and Alcohol inks to create a landscape, I then stamped the Meadow Grass and Unicorn using a pale colour Archival ink and dabbed lightly to remove the wetness then rubbed gently to remove the ink and leaving behind the ghostly image, I then stamped the Creeping Vine using a green Archival ink. Tracey has posted an amazing tutorial video on her site if you click on the highlighted area "Yupo paper and Alcohol inks" above will take you there.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I do hope I've given you some inspiration to join in? Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

A Tim Holtz inspired Christmas card

I've just completed the Creative Chemstry 103 online course, it was brilliant, with lots of new and some not so new techniques, it's great seeing all the new products and the various techniques you can do with them.

My first card isn't featuring any of the new products as I don't have the new White pigment Distress inkpad so I stamped my trees first with Gesso then with distress ink, good old wrinkle free distress background and some splatters of water and white ink, my sentiment is Indigoblu.

My second card is using Yupo paper and Alcohol inks a stencil and blending solution, the technique is called "Alcohol faded layers on Yupo" however! I only did one faded layer as I wanted it more subtle, I was inspired by a beautiful card I saw on Facebook which Jenny Marples made and as its my lovely Nieces 21st birthday today I thought it would be perfect.

Thank you for visiting, have a wonderful weekend xx Zoe xx

You will notice that things have changed a little! Firstly it now launches on the 1st of each month and ends on the 28th, also the winner will now be chosen by Random.org, we have had such wonderful creations, it's been very difficult for us to choose a winner.
