Playtime

Good afternoon Lovelies. What a yucky day, cold, windy, dull and drizzly. Yay! Finally baby is better, I've had some new crafty stash, I say "some" quite a lot really! Lol been treating myself :D so I've managed a nice bit of playtime yesterday and today, a couple of things aren't dry or finished yet, I'll blog those tomorrow hopefully?

My first card was inspired by a fab tutorial by a very talented lady Jill Foster who's on the Penny Black blog

I adore Penny Black products, this technique was Watercolouring with a stencil, I'm happy with how it turned out considering it was my first attempt, I can see myself using this technique many times, I was quite excited as the lady herself commented on my photo I'd posted on their fb page :D

Jofy, Jofy, Jofy.

Some lovely new stamps from Visible Image. I'm always so impressed with VI, the quality and innovative designs of their stamps are fab and the service is amazing.
I've combined Oak House Studio Stamps with Visible Image and Crafters Companion stamps on my final tag.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today, I hope you like my designs, have a great weekend xx Zoe xx

Eileen is making me spend money again!!!

Good afternoon Lovelies! Mixed day weather wise today, bit dull and had rain earlier, still I can't go anywhere as baby has been poorly with a Chest Infection, bless him, he's on the mend though! Thank you so much for all your well wishes for him, in previous posts xx

So, I say Eileen Godwins making me spend money - "AGAIN" lol this time it's these gorgeous stamps by a lovely lady Sarn she calls them Sarntangle stamps and they are fab, very different and quite whimsical, they are limited, take a look here

Here's my first make with Sarns stamps, I think they are so cute, I used Goosebumps in the background and acrylic paint through a script stencil randomly the bees are Jofy and the leaves are die cuts.

Penny Black stamp used for this one with Goosebumps background.

Circle stamps by Oak a House Studio and a die cut to create this tag, it's for my Daughters gift, her birthday is next week.

And here's my Daughters birthday card, I used Jofy Stamps.

Fab new Sweet Poppy stencil

Good morning Lovelies, and what a beauty it is today, sunny, bright and clear, shame I can't go out :( Baby is still poorly, he now has a chest infection bless him, such a brave little soldier, he's such a happy baby and still manages to smile even though he's not well.

Anyway I've managed a little crafting while he's been sleeping and here's the results:

I made this 7x7 canvas using of course Sweet Poppy Stencils, even the edges and background, I used Adirondack inks and the gorgeous Rocking Horse which is now available here I used a blue Sparkle medium, this beautiful creature was designed by the very talented Emma Cronin you can find her on Facebook,

My tag I used Oak House Studio circles and heart to create the background and Finnabair stamps for the detail on the circles, sentiment and Butterfly.

Thank you for spending the time to visit today, have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Sweet Poppy stencils and Oak house Studio stamps

Good Evening Lovelies, I hope your enjoying your weekend so far? It's been a pleasant day weather wise here, unfortunately the baby has been quite poorly this week with a nasty cough and cold with conjunctivitis thrown in for good measure, poor little chap, it's horrid seeing babies poorly, although he's still managed to smile between sleeps, I can't believe he's 4 months old already, the time flies.

Anyway I've managed a little play today, I've made a canvas with brushos and Sweet Poppy.

And a tag which was inspired by the very talented Eileen Godwin Using Oak House Studio stamps.

Thank you for visiting today, have a great rest of the weekend xx Zoe xx

Jofy and Sir Tim

Good evening Lovelies! As I said yesterday about my new stash, I've had another little play today, bubba is poorly, and is rather sleepy which has given me the opportunity.

My first is for a lovely friend of mine, her birthday is today so sadly it will be late :(

I used Goosebumps on white card, then using the "Wrinkle free distressing" technique with Picked Raspberry and Cracked Pistachio distress stains, two layers! Then a light spritz of antique gold spray, I used a Penny Black mask with distress inks, then the gorgeous butterfly from Stampers anon, heat embossed in gold and coloured with the same stains, I distressed the edges and used gold gilding wax.

Brusho's in Sandstone sprinkled onto card then lightly spritzed with water, Penny a Black mask with DI and the fab Jofy stamps.

Thank you so much for dropping by, have a great evening xx Zoe xx

Eileen Godwins Workshop

Good afternoon Lovelies. Well I've just got home from Eileen's fabulous as always workshop. I feel cream crackered lol but what a great day it was, lots of laughs, wonderful cakes made by Barbara Clegget thank you xx and of course amazing inspiration, today we did the "Bleeding Tissue" technique, messy but fun and certainly some amazing results. We worked on canvas, I left early and didn't get chance to make the card but I am pretty pleased with how my canvas's turned out. I used the wonderful Sweet Poppy Stencils for my main images.

The first is an A5 size canvas

The second is 8" x 10"
These are a couple of tags I've made this week.

Thank you for visiting today, have a great weekend, Zoe xx

Iceland Poppy die from Memory Box

Good afternoon Lovelies! Well I've been enjoying this lovely crisp but dry weather.

I'm sharing with you a couple of things I've made over the last few days incorporating the gorgeous Iceland Poppy die from Memory Box, I'm finding getting the shape right a bit tricky still, but they are gorgeous.

My first card I've used a scrap of linen texture card that I'd blotted some bubble wrap on after using it with Brusho's, I used a Sheena Douglass mask with some sandy texture paste and once dry just lightly added some gold gilding wax, the stamps are the new texture stamps from Crafters Companion, once I cut the 2 sizes of Iceland Poppies out with linen texture card I lightly sprinkled and spritzed some Brusho in Brilliant red, I assembled by blobbing hot glued onto the card first and adding the elements to it, a tiny bit of clear glitter glue to the stamens and viola!

I used a Tim Holtz Lacey stamp one the petals and tag and distress inks.

Splats with Distress stains.
My final tag I used A gorgeous Penny Black stamp and coloured it in with drawing gum, then Brusho's and bubble wrap over it, I removed the gum leaving the leaves white and stamped the little words, I also used Brusho's then stamped and cut out my birds, "Scribbly Birds" by Dina Wakley.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you like my creations? Have a great day xx Zoe xx

Been playing again today

Good afternoon Lovelies, it's been dry and quite bright here today, I've not been out yet as I'm still not feeling 100% but I have managed a little play whilst baby slept this morning.

Both cards I've used Brusho's with bubble wrap, I think that's my favourite thing I love to do with Brusho's? I used one of my all time favourite flower stamp's - Delicate Florals by Penny Black

And today my lond awaited new die arrived "Large Iceland Poppy" by Memory box, I need more practice with it, I'm not happy with the shape now it's photographed.

Thank you for popping by today, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Playtime

Good evening Lovelies! I hope your managing to stay warm in this cold snap? We've had some snow today but because it's wet it hasn't settled.

I've come down with a cold and I must say, I've been lucky enough to not have had a cold for over a year, so this one is making me feel rather unwell today :( I'm not usually a whinger about colds "honest" lol anyway, while my little foster baby had his nap this afternoon I was able to get a couple of things made for challenges.

The first 2 are what I made today, one was for "Snow" themed challenge the second was a colour challenge.

I used Aquatints and salt to create the background and Penny Black stamp, words and tree die, the birds are Memory Box.

Brusho's bubble wrap and Tim Holtz stamps.

Aquatints and salt, Visible Image stamp, Penny Black die.

Bokeh Effect created with distress inks and white pigment ink, the die is Memory Box.

Brusho's bubble wrap, Woodware Teasles stamp.

Sorry for the photo heavy post, thank you so much for spending your time visiting, have a good evening xx
